Baseball Game Preview: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Cajon Cowboys

For the second straight game, Redlands East Valley will face off against Cajon. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redlands East Valley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Redlands East Valley took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Cajon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cowboys 5-3.

Caleb Jamroz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffin Cunningham, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden Mccartin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and two RBI.

Redlands East Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cajon, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-4.
