Baseball Recap: Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

Grand Rapids has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.82 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Brainerd Warriors, falling 11-3. The Thunderhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Grand Rapids has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Brainerd, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Grand Rapids nor Brainerd have any future games scheduled.
