Baseball Recap: Independence Knights vs. Heritage Coyotes
Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Heritage Coyotes by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Independence of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Wyatt Sanford was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brock Maroney, who went 3-for-4 with a double.
