Braintree typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Weymouth proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Wamps. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Wamps on their field since April 10, 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Weymouth and bumps their season record up to 12-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Braintree, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weymouth will challenge Whitman-Hanson Regional at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Braintree, they will host Needham at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
