Basketball Recap: East River Drops Season-High Score on Innovation

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East River). They blew past the Innovation Bulls 79-56 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Several Bulls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Reid, who went 8 of 19 en route to 18 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Nadeen Elgamal, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

East River has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Innovation, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

East River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-40 defeat against Winter Park on the 23rd. Innovation has also already played their next match, a 43-18 win against Lake Buena Vista on the 23rd.
