Football Recap: South River Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for South River's offense. They took a blow against the Roselle Park Panthers on Friday, falling 42-0. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Orion Familia threw for 62 yards on four of eight attempts. Dominic Harris was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Kahmori Cotto rushed for 65 yards.

South River is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Roselle Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South River is set to square off against their familiar foe Spotswood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Roselle Park will face off against rival Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
