Baseball Recap: Calistoga Comes Up Short

Calistoga fell victim to Sonoma Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Calistoga now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sonoma Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Calistoga will head out on the road to challenge Rio Lindo Adventist at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Sonoma Academy, they will host Richmond at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
