Baseball Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Union County Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Monday.

Scott now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Union County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10-1.

Looking ahead, Scott will square off against Gibbs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Union County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Maryville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
