Softball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Palmyra-Eagle's offense. They came up short against the Johnson Creek Bluejays on Thursday, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on April 7th.

This is the second loss in a row for Palmyra-Eagle and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Johnson Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Eagle will host Deerfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Demons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Johnson Creek, they will welcome Pewaukee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
