Basketball Recap: Atholton Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Atholton was the 54-48 winner over Centennial when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Atholton Raiders fell to the Centennial Eagles 58-52. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Atholton got some senior leadership from Cameron Lyons and Bryce Inabinet. Lyons went 6 of 9 on his way to 19 points, while Inabinet went 5 for 11 en route to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Inabinet has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Mike Davis was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Atholton's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Centennial, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Atholton will challenge Meade at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Meade's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games. As for Centennial, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Centennial Eagles take on the River Hill Hawks on Friday.
