Baseball Recap: Sale Creek Comes Up Short

Sale Creek managed to slip by Rhea County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Sale Creek came up short against Rhea County on Friday, falling 19-1. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Sale Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Cecil, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Sale Creek is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4. As for Rhea County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Sale Creek will square off against Lookout Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sale Creek is facing Lookout Valley at the right time seeing as Lookout Valley is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Rhea County, they will challenge Walker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
