Basketball Recap: Luke Kinder Key Part of Team Effort in Lion Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Asheville School (Independent), Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Carolina Friends Quakers by a score of 55-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lion also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Kinder, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 17 points. Kinder has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 83% every time he's hit the court this season. Cannon Close was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carolina Friends, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will head out to challenge Burlington Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The Lion will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Carolina Friends, they will be playing at home against New Garden Friends at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
