Soccer Game Preview: West Central vs. Groton

The West Central Trojans will face off against the Groton Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Sioux Falls Christian, who was ranked 12th at the time (West Central was ranked 19th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked West Central's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Groton duked it out with Dakota Valley last Tuesday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Groton's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. West Central's draw makes their record 5-3-1 this season.
