Volleyball Recap: Millennium Comes Up Short

Millennium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans.

Millennium took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17, 15-1.

Millennium's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Millennium will face off against rival Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Aspire Langston Hughes Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe River Islands at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
