Volleyball Recap: Excel Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Red Level on Monday, Excel came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Jackson Aggies by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Excel took Jackson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-1, 24-26, 19-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Excel lost, don't look at Kensley Rowell. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and two aces.

Excel now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jackson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Excel will challenge Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will square off against Demopolis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
