Football Recap: Lapeer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lapeer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goodrich Martians. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Martians are ranked 15th).

Lapeer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Goodrich, the victory (which was their 15th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Lapeer and Goodrich will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lightning are set to take on their familiar foe Saginaw United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Goodrich will square off against rival Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
