Baseball Game Preview: Chicago Washington Patriots vs. Simeon Wolverines

For the second straight game, Chicago Washington will face off against Simeon. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Chicago Washington is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Simeon get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The result came thanks to Enrique Martinez's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, Richard Diaz and Steve Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz got on base in all six of his plate appearances with five RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Steve scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Jorge Guererro was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Chicago Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Simeon only posted an OBP of .424.

Simeon now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Chicago Washington, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
