Volleyball Recap: Lily Hicks Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Tussey Mountain

Mount Union won the last time they faced Tussey Mountain and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trojans walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Titans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Mount Union got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Hicks out in front who had three digs and three aces. What's more, Hicks racked up 24 assists, the most she's had since back in September. Harper McCormick was another key player, getting ten digs, seven kills, and two aces.

Mount Union's record now sits at 7-8-1. As for Tussey Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Mount Union will challenge Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will take on Moshannon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
