The Brookville Blue Devils will take on the Carlisle Indians at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Brookville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Brookville is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Eaton.

Grace Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brookville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Eagle, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Carlisle gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Eaton.

Brookville's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Carlisle, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Brookville might still be hurting after the 15-4 defeat they got from Carlisle when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
