Football Preview: Willamette Wolverines vs. North Salem Vikings
The Willamette Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the North Salem Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willamette will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Willamette is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Dallas, who was ranked 19th at the time (Willamette was ranked 12th). A big part of Willamette's victory came down to the chemistry between Zeke Thomas and his top target Hunter Vaughn. Thomas threw for 301 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt while Vaughn picked up 132 receiving yards and four TDs. Thanks to that big game, Thomas is now up to 23 passing touchdowns on the season. A healthy portion of Thomas' aerial production (96 yards to be exact) also went to TaeSaun Tarusan, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

North Salem not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 38-0). They put the hurt on North Medford with a sharp 29-6 win.
North Salem now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Willamette, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
