Softball Preview: Johnson Warriors vs. Valley Vikings

Johnson and Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Johnson Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Valley Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Johnson is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Tuesday, just like they did against Florin (and have done all season long). Everything went Johnson's way against Florin on Thursday as Johnson made off with a 13-1 victory. The win was nothing new for Johnson as they're now sitting on four straight.

Alexis Resendiz was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kayla Madison, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Valley had to endure a 13-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 20-14 margin over Natomas last Thursday. Valley's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Johnson's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
