Softball Recap: Scappoose Comes Up Short

Scappoose and La Grande squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Scappoose had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Scappoose saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saige Casey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

The defeat snapped Scappoose's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-7 record. As for La Grande, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither Scappoose nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
