Basketball Recap: Middleton's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Middleton had lost four straight headed into Wednesday's match, but Zion Cooper didn't let it get to five. The Middleton Tigers walked away with a 46-37 win over the Lennard Longhorns on Wednesday thanks in part to Cooper, who posted three points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Middleton back to even at 5-5. As for Lennard, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Middleton Tigers challenge the Wharton Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lennard, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Newsome at 6:30 p.m.
