Volleyball Recap: Deer Trail Comes Up Short

Deer Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burlington Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11.

Megan Donovan paced Deer Trail's offense, picking up ten kills. Donovan got some help from Landree Cox and her 12 assists.

Deer Trail's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Burlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Deer Trail nor Burlington have any future games scheduled.
