Volleyball Recap: Sterling Beats Platte Valley for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Sterling waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Platte Valley Broncos 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Broncos since April 6, 2021.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-15.

Karsyn Tonche paced Sterling's offense, picking up 16 kills. Tonche got some help from Berkley Gardiner and her 32 assists. Gardiner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Platte Valley, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sterling is set to face off against their familiar foe Resurrection Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Platte Valley will challenge rival University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
