Softball Game Preview: Wheatmore Warriors vs. Providence Grove Patriots

Wheatmore hasn't had much luck against Providence Grove recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Wheatmore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Wheatmore fell victim to Walkertown and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Providence Grove was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Morehead by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Providence Grove's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Wheatmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
