Basketball Recap: McLean Highlanders vs. Langley Saxons
McLean managed to keep up with Langley until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The McLean Highlanders came up short against the Langley Saxons, falling 62-40. The Highlanders were probably out for revenge after losing 59-42 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why McLean lost, don't look at Max Mullen. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bell, who scored eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for McLean and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Langley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.
McLean will challenge George C. Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Langley has already played their next contest (against Washington-Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
