Softball Recap: Parkland Takes a Loss

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitehall Zephyrs. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Zephyrs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Parkland got a big performance out of Anna Belletieri, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Belletieri has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emma Kushner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Belletieri wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Parkland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Parkland now has a losing record of 2-3. Whitehall has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Parkland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-2 win against Pocono Mountain West on the 28th. As for Whitehall, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Stroudsburg on the 28th.
