New Palestine is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They strolled past Guerin Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

New Palestine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julius Gizzi led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. Gizzi's afternoon made it 30 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Slagley, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Brownstown Central had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Tigers.

Brownstown Central's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for New Palestine, their victory bumped their record up to 25-3.
