Soccer Recap: Newnan Extends Winning Streak to Four

Newnan kept a clean sheet against Lovejoy on Thursday. They blew past the Lovejoy Wildcats 13-0. The matchup marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Their offense was hitting Lovejoy from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Maddie Roche led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The win was the fourth in a row for Newnan, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those four games. As for Lovejoy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newnan will challenge McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lovejoy, they will take on Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northgate will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Lovejoy surely won't give up without a fight.
