Softball Recap: Vancleave Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vancleave can now relate to. They fell just short of the East Central Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Vancleave saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Wyatt, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Vancleave's defeat dropped their record down to 16-19. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 25 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Vancleave does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 win against Lafayette on the 13th.
