Basketball Game Preview: Onalaska Wildcats vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

Onalaska and Anderson-Shiro are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Onalaska Wildcats will challenge the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Onalaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 21 matches.

On Tuesday, Onalaska humbled New Waverly with a 78-33 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Anderson-Shiro played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 78-58 to Crockett. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Fighting Owls have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Onalaska has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Anderson-Shiro, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Onalaska strolled past Anderson-Shiro when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 81-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Onalaska since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
