Volleyball Game Preview: Santana Sultans vs. Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders

The Santana Sultans are taking a road trip to face off against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Santana lost 3-0 to Helix on Thursday.

Santana was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1.

Mater Dei Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.

Santana's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Santana was able to grind out a solid victory over Mater Dei Catholic in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, winning 2-0. Does Santana have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mater Dei Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
