Coronado came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Montgomery Aztecs. That's more bragging rights for the Islanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-17.

Ashlynn Proctor paced Coronado's offense, picking up 11 kills. Proctor got some help from Brooke Proctor and her ten assists. Brooke also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jamesyn Wright, racking up three apiece.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Montgomery, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coronado will head out to face off against Maranatha Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, they will venture away from home to square off against San Diego Jewish Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
