Basketball Game Preview: Bartram Trail Bears vs. Wolfson Wolfpack

The Bartram Trail Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Wolfson Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wolfson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bartram Trail, who comes in off a win.

Bartram Trail will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 29 points on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Beachside on Friday. Bartram Trail came out on top against Beachside by a score of 60-53.

Bartram Trail's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Landon Geren, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and three steals, and David Souza, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Geren has scored at least a third of Bartram Trail's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Michelsen, who posted nine points.

Bartram Trail was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Wolfson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-53 to Fletcher.

Wolfson's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bartram Trail, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Bartram Trail, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to Wolfson in their previous meeting back in December of 2015. Can Bartram Trail avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
