It's playoff time, and Classical Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Caimans, who have now won 11 matchups in a row.

Classical Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13, 23-25, 26-24.

Classical Academy can attribute much of their success to Haley Thatcher, who had seven aces, six digs, and one block. Thatcher has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 18 times she's played. Emily Lin was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Classical Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 16 aces in four consecutive contests.

Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 29-7. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-15.

Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mt. Carmel on the 30th. Mater Dei Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
