Basketball Game Preview: Colorado Academy Mustangs vs. Kent Denver Sun Devils

The Colorado Academy Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Kent Denver Sun Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Colorado Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-38 to Denver Christian. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Thunder are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Kent Denver waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Fury.

Kent Denver pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Colorado Academy, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Colorado Academy lost to Kent Denver on the road by a decisive 52-37 margin when the teams last played on February 4th. Can Colorado Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
