Basketball Game Preview: McDowell Trojans vs. Cathedral Prep Ramblers

The McDowell Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Cathedral Prep Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. McDowell is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.

McDowell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by North East to the tune of 84-38 on Saturday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep strolled past Sharon with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 75-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ramblers.

Cathedral Prep has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for McDowell, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

McDowell didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cathedral Prep in their previous matchup on January 8th, but they still walked away with an 82-76 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McDowell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
