Preview: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Arabia Mountain Rams
Chamblee and Arabia Mountain are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Chamblee Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Arabia Mountain Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chamblee has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four matches.
Even though North Atlanta scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Chamblee still came out on top. Chamblee took down North Atlanta 75-56.
Chamblee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ramon McDaniel, Jr. led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds. McDaniel, Jr. is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Eli Starr was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Arabia Mountain scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Clarke Central with a sharp 80-59 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chamblee's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Arabia Mountain, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Chamblee opened the new year with a less-than-successful 71-64 loss to Arabia Mountain. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Arabia Mountain's Julian Shanks, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
