Preview: Wyatt Chaparrals vs. Chisholm Trail Rangers
Wyatt has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Chisholm Trail Rangers at 6:30 p.m. Wyatt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Wyatt scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past North Side, posting a 80-31 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Wyatt has managed all season.
Meanwhile, everything went Chisholm Trail's way against Bell on Tuesday as Chisholm Trail made off with a 62-41 win. With Chisholm Trail ahead 33-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Chisholm Trail relied on the efforts of Javon Smith, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds, and Kaden Richardson, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Chisholm Trail's points. Archange Mutombo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Wyatt's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Chisholm Trail, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
