Recap: Clearwater Tornadoes vs. Palm Harbor University Hurricanes
The Clearwater Tornadoes won the last time they faced the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Clearwater blew past the Hurricanes 63-16 at home. That looming 63-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Clearwater yet this season.
Clearwater had a senior duo take command as Nicho Simes scored 17 points along with three steals and Brooks Duncan scored 13 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Duncan posted two or more blocks. Jonathan Silva was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Clearwater pushed their record up to 11-12 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Palm Harbor University, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
