Basketball Recap: Cannelton Bulldogs vs. Columbus Christian Crusaders
Cannelton fought the good fight in their overtime match against Columbus Christian on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Columbus Christian Crusaders 42-36. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Emma Murray continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Columbus Christian, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Murray continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Paige Harden was another key player, putting up seven points.
Cannelton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Columbus Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cannelton will host South Central on Tuesday.
