Volleyball Recap: Mound-Westonka White Hawks vs. Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars

Mound-Westonka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars. The White Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hubmen / Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mound-Westonka was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Jordan work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 27-25.

Molly Church was the offensive standout of the match as she had 23 assists and four digs. Those 23 assists gave her a new career-high. Bella Klein also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Mound-Westonka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jordan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Mound-Westonka will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Robbinsdale Armstrong at 7:00 p.m. on October 13. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hubmen / Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
