Basketball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Del Norte Knights, falling 60-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-33 back in January.

It was another big night for Bleona Agushi, who posted 25 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Del Norte. Del Norte is 4-1 when Agushi posts eight or more rebounds, but 5-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Violet Goudeau, who scored 12 points.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Del Norte, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.

Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-41 defeat against Bernalillo on the 21st. As for Del Norte, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-34 loss against Hope Christian on the 21st.
