Baseball Recap: Central Eagles vs. Anson Bearcats
Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Anson on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 13-12. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 11-10.
Aidan Welch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Jackson Coleman also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.
