Baseball Recap: Amelia County Takes a Loss

Amelia County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Goochland Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Amelia County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Goochland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Amelia County will be playing in front of their home fans against Prince Edward County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Goochland, they are taking a road trip to take on Charlottesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Knights have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
