Basketball Recap: Shorecrest Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shorecrest Prep can now relate to. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Indian Rocks Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Murphree out in front who dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. Murphree's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Zack Spinazzola was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

Shorecrest Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Shorecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-44 loss against Tampa Prep on the 7th.
