Immaculata-La Salle put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Somerset Academy Panthers 42-0. The Royal Lions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Immaculata-La Salle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Cox led the charge by rushing for 57 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also catching one score. Nate Merrell Jr. was another key signal caller, throwing for 127 yards and three TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Immaculata-La Salle's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Raul Alvarez with two. Alvarez is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Immaculata-La Salle received some extra help from Ian Destinobles, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Immaculata-La Salle's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Somerset Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
