On Friday, the North Cobb Christian Eagles couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 92-61 blowout they got against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

North Cobb Christian was led to victory by Brock Bass Bonner and Isaiah Chandler. Bass Bonner went 14 of 23 en route to 30 points, while Chandler went 9 of 14 on his way to 21 points and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Chandler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Robich, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points along with eight assists and eight boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: North Cobb Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 30 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared Mitchell, who made all 6 shots he took to post 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintaris Tanner-Garrett, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

North Cobb Christian pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.2 points per game. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

North Cobb Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-61 win against Hebron Christian on the 4th. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they will challenge Murray County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
