Brendan Hall Goes Supernova in Geneva County Win

Starting off the list is Geneva County's Brendan Hall, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hall rushed for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.

With the victory, Geneva County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3. Hall and Geneva County will face off against Houston County on Friday.

Cottonwood picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braylon Morris. Nobody could stop Morris as he threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made three total tackles.

Cottonwood's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Morris will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Abbeville on Friday.

Tyler Sharp Turns in Season-Best Effort

Providence Christian was led to victory by Tyler Sharp, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Sharp rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The win was the fourth in a row for Providence Christian, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Sharp and Providence Christian will face off against Long on Friday.

Cottonwood picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to King Campbell. Nobody could stop Campbell as he rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

For the year, Campbell has averaged 16 receiving yards per game.

Pittman Posts Huge Game in 42-26 Victory

The second Providence Christian player making an appearance here is Craig Pittman, and for good reason. He rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

On the season, Pittman has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 112.7 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three passing touchdowns.
